Luís M. Faria serves as Founder & Managing Partner of LUGRADIX Management Consulting, a company that provides skills to pursue corporate sustainability initiatives where people matter. Luís is skilled in strategy planning, business development, investment management and M&A, consultancy, and stakeholders’ management, and is motivated by business challenges with purpose.

Prior to founding LUGRADIX, Luís served as an executive for several energy companies owned by the EDP Group for 22 years. While working for the EDP Group, he led business and CSR initiatives, and was responsible for heading two main units: (i) Access to Energy (A2E) for emerging countries, with a core focus on Africa, and; (ii) B2B energy services for the corporate market in Portugal. During his tenure, he was appointed a seat on the Board of Directors of Rensource Energy, a company that develops, finances and manages energy infrastructure for African enterprises, and was responsible for the supervision of investees and associated companies and institutions, including SolarWorks, CCILM, ADENE -The Portuguese Energy Agency.

Luís started his career in the telecom sector with technical and commercial coordination roles, at Portugal Telcom, Global One, SDT Electrónica, and Data E. He earned his MSc Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and his MBA from Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics.
