For a community to flourish, it needs to have its basic needs met through the provision of critical social infrastructure: clean water, electricity, sustainable agriculture, affordable housing, basic education, and medical clinics.
Reliable and long-term access to clean water and electricity lays the foundation on which an evolving society is built. Once these two vital needs have been met, investments made in agriculture will yield greater social and economic returns in the form of food security and agribusiness, which stimulate a rural economy.
As these fundamental building blocks are provided, further investment into housing, education, and health clinics will drive transformative social impact. Holistic support, via strategic investments in critical social infrastructure, empowers a community to break the cycle of poverty. It is through collaboration that our efforts will affect the transformative social development we all wish to realize.
Reliable and readily available electricity creates opportunities to transform a community; it is the ultimate impact enabler for a society at large. As vulnerable communities develop, it is paramount that access to electricity is delivered by renewable energy systems to mitigate climate impacts.
Sustainable access to clean water is the most fundamental human right. Many communities that don't have access to potable water also lack access to electricity, and water systems require electricity. Concurrently solving for water and electricity improves efficiency and amplifies social impact.
Once a community has water and electricity, it can irrigate crops to improve yields, use grain mills and other electrical agricultural tools to process food, and use cold storage solutions to preserve and transport goods to markets. Investments in agriculture improve food security and stimulate the local economy.
Having a home with a solid structure, water, and electricity helps to keep families safe, healthy, and well rested, serving to continuously recharge a family's vitality. Sleep is among the most important things we do every day, and a comfortable home is crucial to getting a good night's rest. A healthy family has more energy to achieve its daily pursuits.
Education is key to elevating every society. However, it is difficult for children to prioritize education when they have to wake up at 4am to fetch water with their mothers before school, and again when they return home from school. These same communities often lack access to electricity as well, making it difficult to do school work at home.
Too many hospital beds in poor communities are occupied by people who are sick from water-related diseases, and medical clinics without clean water and electricity cannot provide quality healthcare services. As communities gain access to critical social infrastructure, health clinics can more effectively prevent and treat illness.
There are many impactful organizations which have solutions to serve vulnerable communities in developing nations, but they lack connection to these people and places. At Transformative Projects, we electrify and provide water to communities using renewable energy systems, and assess their other societal infrastructure needs. If other needs persist, other "Transformative" entities will be established through joint ventures with trusted partner companies and our parent entity - Transformative Ventures.
Every piece of social infrastructure is important and, collaboratively, we can empower vulnerable communities to prosper.
