Kunal Shah is a global water, waste and bioenergy business leader with a focus on driving investment, growth and strategy across the climate infrastructure space. From complex water and wastewater to waste and bioenergy infrastructure, Kunal has been at the forefront of developing and building over one billion USD worth of carbon negative and water positive sustainable infrastructure globally.

Kunal serves as Senior Vice President - Global Asset Outsourcing at Aquatech International, one of the worlds largest industrial water platform, where he is building first of its kind global water and critical minerals development venture. He is also Co-Founder & Director of Anvirya Ventures, building one of South East Asia’s largest agri-waste to renewable energy platform with over 100MW of base load assets under development.

Kunal also serves on the Advisory Boards of Operation Water and Xprize for water scarcity, representing Asia Pacific at the World Biogas Association, UK, Vice President (Sustainability & New Initiatives) and Council Member of Singapore Water Association, Global Advisory Council member of Global Water Impact Fund, and an Advisory Council member of Imagine H2O Asia, 

Previously, Kunal was Chief Growth Officer & Managing Director Asia at Anaergia, where he played a critical role in establishing Anaergia as one of the world’s largest organic waste to biomethane platform and the largest biogas player in Asia. Prior to Anaergia, Kunal was Country Manager – Malaysia & Indonesia anda member of Global Business Development Team at VA Tech Wabag, a lobal water giant listed on BSE, India. 

Kunal  holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Pune.
