Claudio Pedretti is a leader in renewable energy and climate action, and serves as Founder and President of The Club of Florence, an organization that promotes climate action and sustainability through a philosophy of “Renewed Humanism.” The Club of Florence brings together diverse leaders to advance the 2015 Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Claudio is also Founder and CEO of Green Climate Ventures, a firm dedicated to investing in social impact companies in rural electrification, renewable energy, and sustainable agribusiness.

In addition to his executive roles, Claudio sits on the board of directors of EnAccess Foundation, Green Empowerment, and Emrod, where he supports open-source energy solutions and high-impact R&D projects that make clean energy accessible, empowers rural and indigenous communities to develop their own clean water and energy systems, and continues to innovate in the renewable energy sector. Claudio also serves as an Advisor to Operation Water and Bright Tide, where he extends his guidance to support sustainable access to clean water and advocating for climate and biodiversity initiatives.

Previously, Claudio served as President and Chair of the Alliance for Rural Electrification, where he played a pivotal role in expanding decentralized renewable energy systems.  He also founded and led Windkinetic Off-Grid Power Systems, where he scaled off-grid renewable energy solutions internationally, and sold the company in 2020.
